The Central Board of Secondary Education will conduct the 14th edition of Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) on 05-07-2020 (Sunday). The test will be conducted in 20 (Twenty) languages in 112 cities all over the country. The detailed Information Bulletin containing details of examination, syllabus, languages, eligibility criteria, examination fee, examination cities and important dates is available on CTET official website www.ctet.nic.in w.e.f. 24-01-2020 and the aspiring candidates are requested to download the Information Bulletin from the above mentioned website only and read the same carefully before applying. The aspiring candidates have to apply online only through CTET website i.e. www.ctet.nic.in. The online application-process will start from 24.01.2020 and the last date for submitting online application will be 24.02.2020. The fee can be paid upto 27.02.2020 till 03.30 PM.

STEP 1:
 Log on to CTET official website www.ctet.nic.in

STEP 2: 
Go to the link “Apply Online” and open the same.

STEP 3: 
Fill in the Online Application Form and note down Registration No./Application No.

STEP 4: 
Upload Scanned Images of latest Photograph and Signature

STEP 5:


 Pay examination Fee by e-challan or debit/credit card

STEP 6:
 Print Confirmation page for record and future reference.

"CTET Exam Eligibility"

The following persons are eligible for appearing in the CTET.

Minimum Qualifications for becoming Teacher for

Classes I-V: Primary Stage

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*.
OR
Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).


Classes VI-VIII: Elementary Stage

Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
OR
Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education)*.


"CTET Syllabus"

Paper I (for Classes I to V) Primary Stage :

Duration of examination-2:30 hrs or 150 minutes


(i) Child Development and Pedagogy -      30 Marks
(ii) Language I (compulsory)               -      30 Marks
(iii) Language II (compulsory)             -      30 Marks
(iv) Mathematics                                 -      30 Marks
(v) Environmental Studies                  -      30 Marks

                                                         
                         (Total 150 - Mcqs -150 Marks)

Paper II (for Classes VI to VIII) Elementary Stage :

Duration of examination – 2:30 Hrs or 150 Minutes

(i) Child Development & Pedagogy(compulsory)B    -  30 Marks
 (ii) Language I (compulsory)                                 -  30 Marks
 (iii) Language II (compulsory)                               -  30 Marks
 (iv) Mathematics and Science                               - 60 Marks
           (for Mathematics and Science teacher)
                         or
 (v) Social Studies/Social Science                           - 60 Marks
          (for Social Studies/Social Science teacher)

*For any other teacher – either (IV) or (V)


                                       (Total: - 150 MCQs - 150 Marks)

"QUALIFYING MARKS AND AWARD OF CTET CERTIFICATE"


As per NCTE notification No. 76-4/2010/NCTE/Acad Dated 11.02.2011: A person who scores 60% or more in the TET exam will be considered as TET pass.
